HC Deb 14 April 1914 vol 61 c10
27. Mr. G. LOCKER-LAMPSON

asked the hon. Member for St. George's-in-the-East, as representing the Insurance Com missioners, whether he is aware that the friendly societies object to the terms of certain clauses in provisional Regulations regarding the withdrawal of approval from approved societies proposed to be issued by the joint committee and to be brought into operation immediately on account of urgency; and whether he will afford the House an early opportunity of discussing those clauses?

Mr. BENN

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. The Regulations referred to, which were considered by the Advisory Committee, have been published in draft and have not been brought into operation on account of urgency. The usual opportunities will be available for discussion on their being laid before the House.
