HC Deb 06 April 1914 vol 60 cc1619-20
Mr. DENNISS

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs a question, of which I have given him private notice: If he will afford the House the information contained in the Reports from the British Minister in Venezuela on the question of the egret, in order that the Committee which sits again to-morrow on the Importation of Plumage (Prohibi- tion) Bill may be in a position to deal with the Schedule of excepted birds annexed to the said Bill?

Mr. ACLAND

As the time mentioned in the hon. Member's question is not sufficient to enable Papers to be laid—should it be considered desirable to do so—I will at once consult the Minister in charge of the Bill as to whether there are any Papers which might be of use which are not already at his disposal, and if there are I will endeavour to supply them to him.

Mr. DENNISS

Will the right hon. Gentleman ultimately provide the Papers when time permits?

Mr. ACLAND

I have not considered whether there are any Papers suitable. I do not think there are. I think everything is known, but I will consider that.
