22. Mr. BRIDGEMAN

asked the President of the Board of Education if he can now state when the Departmental Committee will report upon the questions relating to the pensions of elementary school teachers?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. J. A. Pease)

I am informed that the Report will be in my hands before Easter.

23. Mr. PETO

asked the President of the Board of Education whether, in the case of Mr. H. J. Sparkes, who for thirty-three years was an elementary school teacher, and other analogous cases of teachers who, through ignorance of the provisions of the Act or otherwise, failed to accept the provisions of the Elementary School Teachers' Pension Act, he will give such teachers a further opportunity of complying with the conditions and qualifying for the pension to which they are entitled?

Mr. PEASE

I am unable to make any statement on the subject of teachers' pensions until I receive the Report of the Departmental. Committee which I appointed to investigate the matter.
