HC Deb 06 April 1914 vol 60 c1605
47. Mr. ROBERT HARCOURT

asked the Home Secretary whether, in view of the Blocking Motion recently put down by a Member of the Select Committee on Procedure and the feeling expressed in Debate when the Committee was appointed after divisions had been taken against certain names, he will give the House an opportunity of setting up a fresh Committee from which Members who deliberately deprive private Members of their rights may be excluded if the House so determine?

Mr. McKENNA

While I sympathise with the reasons which I do not doubt have led my hon. Friend to ask this question, I fear I do not see my way to adopt his suggestion.
