HC Deb 02 April 1914 vol 60 c1354
99. Mr. CROOKS

asked when the messengers engaged at the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, will be allowed to draw overtime pay after working the normal week of forty-eight hours which is in practice in all the working departments of the War Office?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Harold Baker)

The fact that these men are liable on some occasions to be called upon to work extra hours without overtime payment is taken into consideration in fixing their wages.
