HC Deb 07 May 1913 vol 52 c2031
42. Mr. CASSEL

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, on the Report stage of the Resolution to amend the law relating to Customs and Excise and Inland Revenue, he will indicate the Amendments which he intends to propose?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I have already indicated to the House the nature of certain Amendments to the law which I propose to insert in the forthcoming Revenue Bill, and I have other Amendments under consideration.

Mr. CASSEL

Would the right hon. Gentleman bear in mind that in his financial statement he said, "I will not now indicate the Amendments which we propose. I shall have to do so when I move the Resolution"?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I did indicate several of the things I intend to amend.

Mr. CASSEL

Does the right hon. Gentleman not propose to indicate the others?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

Certainly, when I move the Resolution.
