HC Deb 17 June 1913 vol 54 c194
23. Mr. PRETYMAN

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many officials are now employed in the Land Valuation Department; and how many he anticipates can be discharged in 1915, when he has stated the valuation will be completed?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

The number of officials employed in the Land Valuation Office (Great Britain) on the 31st May was 4,354. At the present time no estimate can be formed as to the number of these officials who are likely to be required in the year 1915.
