Mr. O'GRADYasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he has yet been able to induce the medical profession to treat the uninsured members of friendly societies, referred to in Section 15 (2) (e) of the National Insurance Act, at the sum of 6s. per head per annum; and, if not, whether he is now prepared to advise the provision out of State funds of an additional 2s. 6d. per head per annum to enable them to obtain throughout life medical attendance and medicine on the same terms as those offered to the doctors in respect of insured persons?
