HC Deb 05 June 1913 vol 53 c1028
32. Mr. BARNES

asked the President of the Board of Trade if the inquiry in regard to rates of wages current in the district in which Nobel's factory is situated is now proceeding; if so, when a Report may be expected; and if any steps are being taken, or can be taken, to anticipate the Report?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. J. M. Roberston)

An inquiry is being made as quickly as possible, and it is hoped that the information will have been obtained in the course of next week.

Mr. BARNES

Can any step be taken to anticipate that Report?

Mr. ROBERTSON

I cannot say.
