§ Mr. RUNCIMANI understand the Noble Lord's question to refer to the possibility of a Grant from the Exchequer to assist the Committee to make provision for policing their waters with a view to the enforcement of their local by-laws. The enforcement of local by-laws is the duty of the committee, and the Board are not in a position to make a Grant to provide the machinery for this purpose. I am, however, carefully considering whether means can be found to augment the police work of local sea fisheries committees.
