Mr. PETOasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has access to any figures from Consular Reports or the Census of Production which give the production of sugar in Cuba in or prior to 1902 when a treaty of reciprocity was signed between the United States and the Republic of Cuba in 1911; and whether he can give the figures?
§ Sir E. GREYI will send the hon. Member, if he desires the figures for the years 1853 to 1901, as published in the "Statistiques Sucrières," and those for subsequent years, as given in the returns published by the Cuban authorities.

Mr. PETOasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has access to any figures giving the production of raw sugar in Hawaii in 1876 and 1898 and 1911, and the proportion of the production which was exported to the United States, and the dates of the reciprocity treaty between the United States and Hawaii and the annexation of Hawaii by the United States?
§ Sir E. GREYI will send the hon. Member a written statement giving the desired figures. The reciprocity treaty between the United States and Hawaii was dated 30th January, 1875. The Hawaiian Islands were formally annexed by the United States on 12th August, 1898.
