HC Deb 15 January 1913 vol 46 c2070
66. Sir WILLIAM BULL

asked the Postmaster-General what was the total amount standing to the credit of the Post Office fund for the benefit of Post Office contributors under the National Insurance Act on the first of the present month?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I am unable at present to give the information required, as a number of cards have been sent to the Post Office in error by insured persons who were in fact members of approved societies, and the exact amount to be transferred from the National Health Insurance fund to the Post Office fund account cannot be stated until these cards have been reclaimed.

Sir W. BULL

When will that be?

Mr. MASTERMAN

As soon as ever I can get the information I shall be very glad to give it to the hon. Member.

Sir W. BULL

Within a fortnight?

Mr. MASTERMAN

Yes, I think so.
