§ 88. Mr. CARR-GOMMasked what amount has been received in contributions and is now available for the payment of health insurance benefit under the National Insurance Act?
§ Mr. MASTERMANThe amounts received through the sale of health insurance stamps, etc., now amount to about £8,000,000. As the State proportion is added as payment of benefit is made, this would represent a sum available for payments as required under the health insurance provisions of the Act of over 1377 £10,000,000, apart from any additional sum which Parliament may vote for medical remuneration.
