asked the number of persons who are insured under Part II. of the National Insurance Act against unemployment, and the total amount of the moneys, including the State contribution, now subscribed for unemployment insurance?

Mr. BUXTON

The number of regular unemployment books issued to workpeople under Part II. of the National Insurance Act up to and including the 26th October, 1912, is 2,170,651. The total amount received in respect of contributions from employers and workpeople up to the same date is £132,511. The amount of the corresponding Stale contribution is, approximately, £144,000.
