§ Mr. MASTERMANThe society mentioned has applied for registration under Section 8 (5) of the Friendly Societies Act of 1896. The society has been informed that its purpose, as set forth in its rules, is not sufficiently definite to justify the Treasury in authorising it under that Section as a purpose to which the provisions of the Act ought to be extended.
