HC Deb 31 October 1912 vol 43 cc559-60
50. Mr. BOLAND

asked the Chief Secretary whether he is aware that the Imperial and Local Taxation Committee has not yet presented its Report; that the deductions in county Kerry have amounted to £5,062, made up of asylum, railway and harbour, medical charities, and other Grants; and can he state when these deductions will be made good, and when the Committee will present its Report?

Mr. BIRRELL

As stated in my reply to the hon. Member for West Kerry on 25th June last, deductions have been made from sums payable to the Kerry County Council under Section 58 of the Local Government (Ireland) Act, 1898, during the past two years amounting in all to £3,940. I am not in a position to state when that sum may be made good or to state when-the Imperial and Local Taxation Committee will present its Report.
