HC Deb 28 October 1912 vol 43 c46
91. Mr. W. THORNE

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is awai'5 that some employers in the shipbuilding industry at Stockton-on-Tees are writing the actual number of days a workman is employed in any given week upon the insurance stamp affixed to the unemployment insurance card; it' such entry upon the stamps is contrary to the Regulations of Part II. of the National Insurance Act; and if he proposes taking action in the matter?

No case such as that mentioned by my hon. Friend of an employer writing the number of days that a workman is employed upon unemployment insurance stamps has been brought to my notice, but if he will give me further particulars I will cause inquiry to be made.
