asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is awai'5 that some employers in the shipbuilding industry at Stockton-on-Tees are writing the actual number of days a workman is employed in any given week upon the insurance stamp affixed to the unemployment insurance card; it' such entry upon the stamps is contrary to the Regulations of Part II. of the National Insurance Act; and if he proposes taking action in the matter?

No case such as that mentioned by my hon. Friend of an employer writing the number of days that a workman is employed upon unemployment insurance stamps has been brought to my notice, but if he will give me further particulars I will cause inquiry to be made.
