HC Deb 28 October 1912 vol 43 c44
44. Mr. CATHCART WASON

asked when the right hon. Gentleman is likely to be furnished with the Report of the Committee appointed to inquire into the necessities of the Highlands and Islands under the National Insurance Act?

MARQUESS of TULLIBARDINE

Before the question is answered, may I ask if this Committee is intended to inquire not only into the medical service, but also into the necessities of the Highlands generally?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I believe the reference has been narrowed to what is required under the National Insurance Act, but the Committee are still investigating the wider subject. In reply to the question on the Paper, I am unable to give an exact answer as to the date, but I am communicating again with the Committee, and I will inform my hon. Friend of the result.
