HC Deb 28 October 1912 vol 43 c26
55. Mr. FELL

asked the Prime Minister if his attention has been called to the fact that the proceedings on the Government of Ireland Bill have frequently ended under the Closure before a quarter to eleven; and if he will consider the desirability of amending the Resolution allocating the time so as to permit of a certain number of selected Amendments being put from the Chair and divided on, and the opinion of the House taken on matters which must otherwise be entirely unknown?

The PRIME MINISTER

I do not think that there is sufficient reason for amending the Resolution in the manner proposed.

Mr. FELL

Would it not be possible rearrange that although we have not Debate we may have Amendments put?

The PRIME MINISTER

I think on the whole the Resolution is working very well.
