§ 71. Lord ROBERT CECILasked the right hon. Gentleman whether his attention has been called to a Notice of Motion standing in the names of the hon. Member for Colchester and the hon. Member for North Herts proposing a further financial resolution in connection with the Superannuation Bill; and whether the Government will move a Resolution to that effect before the Committee on that Bill is concluded, so that an Amendment to carry out such Resolution now standing in the names of the same two hon. Members may be submitted to the Committee on the Bill?
§ Mr. MASTERMANAs I stated in the discussion on the Second Reading of this Bill I am making careful inquiry with a view, if necessary, to introducing a Bill dealing with the point next year. I am afraid I cannot undertake that the question shall be dealt with in the present Bill.
Mr. WORTHINGTON-EVANSDoes the right hon. Gentleman definitely promise that it shall be dealt with next year, and is he making that promise on behalf of the Government?
§ Mr. MASTERMANI hope it may be dealt with next year. It is a complicated question, and I am having inquiry made with a view to its being dealt with.
