HC Deb 25 November 1912 vol 44 c819
85. Lord CHARLES BERESFORD

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he can now make a statement on the alleged unseaworthiness of His Majesty's ship "Torch"; and, if not, if he will state the date on which he can make a statement?

Mr. CHURCHILL

The Report dispatched by the Commander-in-Chief is not due until the end of this month. As soon as the Report is received it will be given careful consideration, but the date on which a statement could be made cannot be given at the present time.
