§ 88. Mr. WARDLEasked whether the fee of £3 charged examinees for the position of senior assistant auditor under the National Insurance Act was charged to the whole of the men who sat for this examination; to what purpose was the money devoted; whether such fees will be returned to the unsuccessful candidates; and whether those who, not in the first eighty, gained sufficient marks to qualify have any chance of subsequent appointment?
§ Mr. MASTERMANThe answer to the first question is in the affirmative. These fees, like other fees for Civil Service examinations, are applied towards defraying the cost of the examination.
