HC Deb 20 November 1912 vol 44 c293
58. Mr. LLEWELYN WILLIAMS

asked the President of the Board of Agriculture whether the County Council of Carmarthenshire forwarded a livestock scheme, under the Development and Road Improvement Funds Act, 1909, to the Treasury in March, 1911; whether repeated applications have been addressed to the Board of Agriculture with reference to the same; and whether he is now prepared to state what the position of the scheme is?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

The answer to the first two parts of the question is in the affirmative. The application of the Carmarthenshire County Council was submitted by the Board to the Commissioners in February last. The Board have given full consideration to the needs of Carmarthenshire in framing the comprehensive scheme for the improvement of livestock in England and Wales, which is now being discussed by the Board with the Development Commissioners.
