§ 26. Mr. MULDOONasked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Cork Rural District Council, in March, 1910, made application to the Local Government Board for Ireland for sanction to a loan of £41,700 for the erection of cottages under the Labourers (Ireland) Acts, 1883 to 1906; whether the Board sanctioned a loan of £38,820 for the purposes mentioned; whether it has since refused to sanction the balance of £3,000 required to pay liabilities actually incurred by the local authority in carrying out the scheme: whether additional sums had been duly sanctioned in reference to two previous schemes by the same body; and whether he will take any steps to see that the district council is not embarrassed and inconvenienced by the action of the Central Authority?
§ Mr. BIRRELLI would refer the lion. Member to the reply given to the question asked on this subject by the hon. Member for Mid-Cork on the 14th instant.
