HC Deb 12 November 1912 vol 43 c1813
74. Mr. POWER

asked the hon. Member for St. George's-in-the-East, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, if he will state when the present system of ventilating the Tea Room and the News Room by perforations in the panelling, which at present causes much inconvenience, will be changed; and will he say whether he proposes to extend the improvements made in one part of the Tea Room by the system of ventilation introduced by the hon. Member for Southampton last year?

Mr. WEDGWOOD BENN (Lord of the Treasury)

The alteration made last year was experimental. The inlets in one panel were made to discharge at a higher level, and if there be a general desire to extend the improvement it could be carried out. An item in respect of this service could then be included in next year's Estimates.
