HC Deb 12 November 1912 vol 43 c1805
50. Mr. GODFREY LOCKER-LAMPSON

asked whether Sir Steyning Edgerley has expressed any objection to the publication of the evidence he gave before the Committee on Irish finance?

The PRIME MINISTER

It would obviously be invidious to state the views of the several witnesses with regard to the publication of their evidence, and I am not prepared to do so.

Mr. G. LOCKER-LAMPSON

Is it not the fact that the evidence of Sir Steyning Edgerley, or a great part of it, was in direct conflict with some of the financial provisions of the Government of Ireland Bill?

The PRIME MINISTER

If the hon. Gentleman looks at the Report of the Committee, he will see what they say on that subject.
