HC Deb 16 May 1912 vol 38 cc1272-3
Mr. NORTON-GRIFFMTHS

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the petition presented to him on 25th April, 1911, signed by about 280 Members representing various parties of this House, in favour of the creation of an Imperial Senate of an advisory character, he will consider the advisability of appointing a small committee from among the signatories with a view of furthering this matter?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Asquith)

I am not prepared to take the action which the hon. Member suggests.
