HC Deb 14 May 1912 vol 38 c955
Mr. TOUCHE

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he has any information that attempts are being made by the Millers' National Federation (an organisation of the United States millers) or others to get the Government of the United States to discriminate against the British West Indian Colonies, because of these Colonies having arranged a reciprocity agreement with Canada; and, if the Government has not been advised on the subject, will they make inquiries with a view to the protection of British interests?

Sir E. GREY

This question has been referred to me by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Colonies, but I have no information on the subject. Inquiries will, however, be made of His Majesty's Embassy in Washington.
