HC Deb 14 May 1912 vol 38 c951
Mr. WHITEHOUSE

asked the hon. Member for St. George' s-in-the-East, as representing the First Commissioner of Works, whether he will cause to be prepared a model to scale of the embankment garden now in course of construction at the south end of the Houses of Parliament, showing the method upon which it is proposed to lay it out and the position suggested for the group of statuary, "The Burghers of Calais"?

Mr. WEDGWOOD BENN (Lord of the Treasury)

The First Commissioner hopes that the plans which will be exhibited in the Tea Room will make his proposals sufficiently clear.
