HC Deb 13 May 1912 vol 38 c792
Mr. KING

asked whether the right hon. Gentleman is aware that the Church of England school at Dundry, near Bristol, is now closed, and that it has been closed since Easter; whether there is any likelihood of its being reopened; and, seeing that the children of the parish are without any educational facilities, whether the Board of Education will call the immediate attention of the local education authority to their failure to provide education for this parish?

Mr. PEASE

I have no information as to the closing of this school, but the Board were informed not long ago that some substantial alterations to the buildings, which were required, and for which they had approved plans, would be carried out at once, and it is probable that the school has been closed temporarily for this purpose.

Mr. KING

Will the right hon. Gentleman call for a Report from the inspector on this matter?

Mr. PEASE

I shall be very glad to call for a Report and send it to the hon. Member if he desires it.
