HC Deb 11 March 1912 vol 35 cc819-20
Mr. OLIVER LOCKER-LAMPSON

asked whether the Home Secretary's attention has been called to the recent conviction of Mrs. Jacobs; and whether her sentence is one calling for remission or reduction?

Mr. McKENNA

No, Sir; I have received no application for remission of reduction of sentence from or on behalf of the prisoner, and upon the facts at present before me I see no ground for any interference.

Mr. CATHCART WASON

Has the right hon. Gentleman considered the Memorial from Members of this House in regard to this case, which is one of special and peculiar importance?

Mr. McKENNA

I have seen the Memorial. Certainly I will consider it.
