Mr. CATHCART WASONasked the Postmaster-General if he will ascertain the cost of a fortnightly steam service from Kirkwall to North Ronaldshay, the present boat service being inadequate for the requirements of the people?
§ Mr. HERBERT SAMUELI am informed that the cost would be about £6 a trip; but so far as the Post Office is concerned this expense could not be justified. There is already a considerable loss on the present three days a week service.
