HC Deb 20 June 1912 vol 39 cc1848-9
79. Mr. CLYNES

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware of a meeting held at Crewe on Monday at which it was decided to form a league of employers and others concerned in agriculture to consist of persons pledged to resist the operations of the National Insurance Act; and whether he will say what action will be taken to deal with the organised resistance expressed in this pledge?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I am not inclined to attach any importance to demonstrations of such a character.
