HC Deb 13 June 1912 vol 39 c1046
49. Mr. FRED HALL (Dulwich)

asked if, in view of the immunity which trade unions now enjoy from punishment for acts of violence and intimidation by their members during strikes and the additional expenditure for providing protection for workers thereby entailed, the Government proposes to take any and, if so, what steps to amend or alter in any way the provisions of the Trade Disputes Act?

The PRIME MINISTER

In replying to this question I must not be assumed to accept the description contained in it of the present legal position. The Government do not propose to legislate on this subject.
