HC Deb 13 June 1912 vol 39 c1046
51. Major ANSTRUTHER-GRAY

asked the Prime Minister whether he can now make any statement as to the constitution and terms of reference of the Committee which it is proposed to appoint to consider the territorial limit and other questions regarding sea fisheries, and the probable date of appointment?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster has consented to act as chairman of the Interdepartmental Committee, and I understand from him that the terms of reference and constitution of the Committee are not yet finally settled.

Sir A. WILLIAMSON

Arising out of that answer, may I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether he has considered the suggestion that a member or members should be appointed on the Commission having special knowledge of the subject from the fishermen's point of view?

The PRIME MINISTER

Yes, that is being considered.
