HC Deb 11 June 1912 vol 39 c681
35. Sir RANDOLF BAKER

asked whether any decision has been arrived at as to which employer is to pay the employers' contribution under the National Insurance Act in the case of an outworker who takes work from several employers and does the work for all in the same week, or same weeks in case the work takes more than one week to complete?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Masterman)

Regulations dealing with the payment of contributions for outworkers will shortly be issued, based on the report of the Committee presided over by Sir Ernest Hatch, and these regulations will determine methods of payment in the case of an outworker working for more than one employer.
