asked what Grants, if any, were made in the last financial year to the several Dublin training colleges under clerical management to meet the cost of sites and structures?

Mr. BIRRELL

During the financial year 1911–12 the annuities paid to the training colleges in Dublin to cover cost of housing were as follows:—To St. Patrick's Training College, £1,407; Our Lady of Mercy Training College, £1,139, and Church of Ireland Training College, £1,031. St. Patrick's and the Church of Ireland Colleges also received £192 and £l01, respectively, in repayment of the annual ground rent paid by those colleges.
