HC Deb 15 July 1912 vol 41 cc19-20
34. Mr. GODFREY LOCKER-LAMPSON

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether enforced contributions will be returned to insured persons in the event of their being unable to obtain the sanatorium benefit to which they are entitled under the National Insurance Act?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I am not in a position to state what action would be taken in the contingency contemplated in the question, which I have no reason to suppose is likely to arise.

Mr. G. LOCKER-LAMPSON

Has the right hon. Gentleman seen the decision of the members of the Medical Association in Brighton, who say that they will not work under the Insurance Act?

Mr. MASTERMAN

That will not prevent sanatorium benefit being given.
