HC Deb 15 July 1912 vol 41 cc41-2
94. Sir HENRY DALZIEL

asked whether the Government are taking any steps, or intend taking any, to bring the dispute in the London Docks to a speedy termination?

Mr. BUXTON

The good offices of the Board of Trade are, as always, at the service of the parties to the dispute. I have no statement to make in the matter.

Mr. O'GRADY

May I ask the Prime Minister a question, of which I have given him private notice, whether he can now make a statement with respect to the position of the transport workers' dispute in the Port of London?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir. I think in the interests of all parties it is better I should not make a statement today.

Mr. O'GRADY

Will the Prime Minister be able to make a statement tomorrow?

The PRIME MINISTER

I hope I may be in a position to do so to-morrow.

Mr. O'GRADY

On the Adjournment tonight?

The PRIME MINISTER

No.

Mr. O'GRADY

To-morrow?

The PRIME MINISTER

Yes, I hope to be able to do so to-morrow.
