HC Deb 26 February 1912 vol 34 c978
Mr. TOUCHE

asked the President of the Local Government Board whether he has received and considered a report by Dr. Harris, the medical officer of health of the borough of Islington, submitted to the public health committee of that borough, with reference to the finding of the Royal Commission on Tuebrculosis, that a considerable proportion of the tuberculosis of childhood is to be ascribed to infection with bacilli transmitted in the milk of cows; and can he say when legislation on the subject will be introduced with a view to dealing effectively with this evil?

Mr. BURNS

The report has been received and is being considered in connection with the general question to which it relates. With regard to the last part of the question, I may refer to the answer I gave on Thursday last to the hon. Member for the Ripon Division.
