HC Deb 26 February 1912 vol 34 cc997-8
Mr. FRED HALL (Dulwich)

asked the Prime Minister if, in view of the intimidation and violence which accompanied certain, industrial disputes last year, he will state what steps have been and will be taken in the unfortunate event of a coal strike occurring to ensure the adequate protection of life and property, and to secure the freedom of action of all who may desire to work?

Mr. McKENNA (for the Prime Minister)

It would be inexpedient at this moment to say more than that the Government are fully alive to the obligations which may be imposed upon them?
