§ Mr. ALBERT SMITHasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department 742 when the committee of inquiry into the working of the Workmen's Compensation Act, as promised by his predecessor, will be appointed?
§ Mr. McKENNAI would refer the hon. Member to the answer which my predecessor gave to a question on this subject on 21st March last. The present Act has only been in force for a little over four and a half years, and I think it is still too early to bring it under review.
§ Mr. A. SMITHIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that last year the Home Secretary stated explicitly that a committee of inquiry would be appointed?
§ Mr. McKENNAI have not had an opportunity so far of inquiring into that, but will do so.
