HC Deb 20 February 1912 vol 34 cc436-7
Mr. HARRY LAWSON

asked what provision is to be made for the meeting of approved societies under the National Insurance Act in respect of public or quasi-public buildings; whether it is proposed to apply to the educaton authorities for permission to use public schoolrooms; whether any part of the premises of local authorities will be made available; and whether any special consideration will be given to the case of women's societies or branches of societies?

Mr. MASTERMAN

Arrangements will be made under Section 27 of the Act with regard to the use of public buildings, but the Commissioners cannot at present anticipate what precise arrangements are possible. They will, however, bear in mind the suggestion made by the hon. Gentleman with regard to the special need of women's societies.
