HC Deb 20 February 1912 vol 34 cc433-4
Colonel BURN

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War what results, if any, were obtained from the test carried out recently on a French gun by the War Office experts; and if these can be given to the House?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Colonel Seely)

I am not at present in a position to give any information on this subject.

Colonel BURN

When is it likely that the House will have information on this very important matter? Can the right hon. Gentleman give a date?

Colonel SEELY

I am not in a position to say that it is desirable to give information on this point. We will, however, give the fullest information with regard to the Artillery, but on this particular point I am not in a position to say when we shall be able to give the information desired.
