HC Deb 20 February 1912 vol 34 cc439-40
Sir J. JARDINE

asked the Lord Advocate whether, considering the isolation from towns and villages of many grieves, shepherds, ploughmen, hinds, and women-workers on many Lowland farms, he will authorise the distribution of a statement embodying the benefits, liabilities, and options affecting them under the National Insurance Act, and more especially for those districts where the employer farmers have decided to abolish the practice of paying full wages up to six weeks of sickness in the course of the year?

Mr. MASTERMAN

Pamphlets explanatory of the provisions of the Act are now being prepared, and the question of issuing a special one with reference to the position of the classes of persons mentioned in the question is being considered.
