HC Deb 19 December 1912 vol 45 c1672
47. Mr. FELL

asked the Prime Minister if the private land inquiry is now completed; if the Reports have been laid before the Government; and if such Reports can now be laid before the House for consideration and possible refutation?

The PRIME MINISTER

I have no information with regard to the first branch of the Question. The answer to the second branch is in the negative; the third branch does not therefore arise.

Mr. FELL

As we are separating tomorrow, will the Prime Minister give us an assurance that the Report of these land inquiries will not be used by Members of the Government without being verified previously?

Captain CRAIG

Can the right hon. Gentleman state who presides over these ferrets?

Mr. REMNANT

May I ask whether the proceedings of this Committee of Inquiry still have his approval?

The PRIME MINISTER

I do not know what their proceedings are at all.
