asked whether it has been reported to the Chief Secretary that, on the night of Saturday, the 7th instant, twenty head of cattle were driven off the lands of Gurrane, near Borrisokane, county Tipperary; whether he is aware that several of the cattle had the hair and some of the skin and flesh cut off then-tails; and whether any arrests were made or any persons made amenable for this outrage?

On the night of the 7th December nineteen head of cattle were driven off the lands of Garrane, near Ballinderry. Seventeen of these had the hair cut off their tails, and in five cases a small portion of the stump of the tail was also cut off. So far no person has been made amenable.
