§ 80. Mr. BARNESasked the First Lord of the Admiralty if the firm of Messrs. Beardmore, of Dalmuir, engaged a number of firemen at Greenock to take His Majesty's ship "Dublin" round to Devon-port in violation of the Fair-Wage Clause in Government contracts, and in substitution for a crew who had refused to go except on the standard terms; that thirty men were engaged to take the "Conqueror" to Devouport on certain terms which the firm afterwards refused to carry out; and if he will see that the Fair-Wage Clause is complied with?
