HC Deb 04 December 1912 vol 44 cc2276-7
28. Sir WILLIAM BYLES

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can inform the House as to the working of the Act for compulsory military service in New Zealand; whether he can furnish the Library with a copy of the Official Report of the Debates on the Defence Estimates; and whether, under the Act referred to, trivial offences, even in times of peace, are sent for trial, not to civil, but to military Courts?

Colonel SEELY

The latest Report on the Defence Forces in New Zealand and the Report of the recent Debates on the Defence Estimates will be placed in the Library. My hon. Friend will find the text of the Defence Acts in (Cd. 5135) and (Cd.5582).
