§ The CHANCELLOR Of the EXCHEQUER (Mr. Lloyd George)There are a number of decisions by Referees which tend to establish the fact that the price 2902 obtained upon a sale of real property is not necessarily identical with the market value. The extent to which the price realised is indicative of the market value is a matter for determination by qualified valuers in each individual case, and I am not prepared to issue instructions which would fetter the officers concerned in the exercise of their professional qualifications.
